Finding Foxtale Forest: Keepers Light, is an amazing book for young tween girls! Its unique storyline, easy-to-visualize wording and gorgeous artwork paint a stunning picture of a forest filled with storyseeds, which are just the mere beginnings of countless tales and adventures! It’s a wonderful book for girls who love fantasy, and I would recommend it to anyone with kids! 10/10, amazing read!

The novel, though a prequel, stands beautifully on its own for anyone who begins the series here. Madeleine writes in a way that feels almost three-dimensional—her words form vivid images, drawing you in until the story engages all your senses.

As the little fox journeys forward, his discoveries, the way he learns, and the questions he wrestles with feel deeply familiar. I found myself reflected in those quiet moments of curiosity and wonder, reminded of my own seasons of searching and growth.

In the first two books, we fell in love with the fox and his journey, and this prequel takes us back to the very beginning of his story in the forest. It draws you into a world of mystery and wonder, keeping you guessing as everything unfolds and slowly reveals how it all began. Walking alongside the fox through moments of fear and uncertainty makes his final choice to embrace courage and love especially powerful. It’s a heartfelt, imaginative story about beginnings, growth, and resilience, filled with life lessons and great conversation starters.

After meeting the magical Fox in the first two books in the Finding Foxtale Forest series, I couldn't wait to learn more about him in this prequel: Keeper's Light. What I discovered was a character that didn't start out "having it all together," but had to overcome fear and uncertainty as he discovered his purpose - with the help of friends along the way. This is a book I would have loved to have read with my children when they were younger. While a short read, it is filled with many important life lessons that can be discussed together and revisited often. One of my favorites: "Don't shy from this path simply because you've not walked it before." What a beautiful reminder for all of us! How do tales grow tall? I highly recommend you read Keeper's Light to find out!

I am in 6th grade and I just finished reading Finding Foxtale Forest-Keeper’s Light. Keeper’s Light is magical! I loved it! I can’t wait to share this book with my friends.
